…and why I’d do it all over again, even with the awkward detours and plot twists.

You know that feeling when you’re about to say yes to something bold and terrifying and magical… and your inner voice sounds like a mix of Oprah and your grandma cheering you on?

That’s how I know I’m making the right kind of risky move. The kind that cracks open a new version of me.

This month, I’ve been reflecting on the bold decisions that shaped my story—personally, professionally, spiritually—and how taking the leap has always led to the breakthrough. Even when it didn’t go perfectly. Especially when it didn’t.

So in honor of May’s theme: MAVERICK - BE BOLD, here are three bold moves that changed my life—and the lessons I learned from leaping without a perfect plan.

1. Leaving the Comfort Zone (Even When It Was… Comfortable-ish)

Me working on not smiling, but I love to show off those teeth.

Let’s be real: comfort is a trap disguised as peace, which reminds me of Kevin O'Leary's quote, "A salary is a 'drug' that employers feed you to forget your dreams."

There was a season when everything in my life looked “fine” on paper. Safe job. Predictable routines. Respectable hustle. But inside, I was bored, restless, and craving something more expansive.

So I left, or better yet it left me. Not in a blaze of glory—but in quiet courage. I trusted my gut more than the blueprint. And that bold move made space for Wundher to be born.

🌀 Lesson: If comfort is costing you growth, it’s time to walk away. Trust the nudge. Boldness begins where certainty ends.

2. Betting on Myself (When No One Had the Blueprint)

Leaving home, pursuing a different industry, starting a business, being the first to take on a new role, launching an event, speaking on a stage—none of it came with a manual. But I said yes anyway. And when fear tried to micromanage me, I thanked her for her concern and kept it moving.

Every “bold move” I’ve made started with one question and my favorite quote: What if this actually works? It’s only impossible until it’s done!

🌀 Lesson: You don’t have to be fearless to be bold. You just have to move forward while scared. Self-belief is the most radical risk you can take.

3. Saying Yes Before I Felt ‘Ready’

Spoiler alert: I’ve never felt 100% ready for the big things.

Not when I became a mom. Not when I made a scary investment. Not when I stood in a room full of people who looked more “qualified,” or looked nothing like me. But I’ve learned that ready is a myth—and action is what makes you prepared.

Saying yes before I felt polished gave me the practice I needed to get powerful.

🌀 Lesson: Readiness is a result, not a requirement. Bold women build the plane mid-flight, even when we really just want to be a passenger ;).

May is the month I remind myself—and you—that we weren’t born to play small.

You don’t need to wait until the timing is perfect, the plan is airtight, or the stars align. Boldness is a muscle. The more you flex it, the more confident you become.

So this month, do the thing. Say the truth. Launch the project. And don’t worry if your voice shakes—do it with a little lipstick and a lot of faith.

Because baby, you’re not just building a life—you’re building a legacy. One bold move at a time.
